Alex Sheen is the founder of because I said I would, the international social movement and nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity through promises made and kept. Inspired by his father, Alex began sending promise cards to anyone who requested them at no cost. Since his father’s death on September 4, 2012, because I said I would has sent over 8.42M promises cards to over 150 different countries around the world – by request only. Through the viral nature of social media, Alex has reached millions of people by dedicating himself to philanthropy. Alex is a 4-time TEDx presenter on the topics of promises and accountability.

  • Driving through the night to deliver disaster relief aid to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
