Dr. Catlett's Most Requested Programs:

Smart is Beautiful: 21st Century Agriculture’s Revolution
Plants for food and plants for carbon sequestration, animals for food and animals for health, land for farms and land for wildlife and food for fuel and food for health–a revolution is going on in agriculture unlike any in history.  Not only will agriculture have to produce more food in the next 40 years than it has in 6000 years of recorded history, it will be part of healthcare, ecology and energy. Let’s take a look at the trends in technology, demographics, economics and management and how to set the stage to be successful because this revolution isn’t about being bigger, but about being smarter.

COMING OUT FROM UNDER:  UNDERSTANDING TODAY’S ECONOMY AND TOMORROW’S NEW FUTURE
As the economy emerges from the current recession (the 14th in the last 80 years) we will not only rebalance what we deem important, but we will also reset our expectations.  Get ready for phenomenal growth in healthcare, energy and lifestyle markets as technology, demographics and new consumer expectations drive new business starts and the reformulation of current businesses.

THE GREENING OF AMERICA
From "green" roofs to "green" cars, America is undergoing a transformation unlike any in history.  Some call the movement "green" others "sustainable" but it clearly is impacting every industry from energy to food.  What are the drivers of this change?  How can businesses and organizations prepare for and profit from this revolution?

Supercare: How Healthcare Dominates the 21st Century
Lives saved, lives lived and communities invigorated–all part of 21st century healthcare.  Innovations in biology and performance metrics not only save lives that were once lost but helps others live lives free of depression, disease and physical pain.  Longer and fuller lives transform every aspect of society–parents (not grandparents) at 60?  College at 75?  Retirement at 85?  Healthcare as a major economic development force–17% of GDP in 2009 and the major employer of most communities under 50,000 in population!  Far from the gloom and doom portrayed by many in recent months, 21st century healthcare is rapidly becoming the most important industry of the past 100 years.

THE ECONOMIC BEHEMOTH
Despite dire warnings for the last 18 months about recession and economic collapse, the U.S. economy has chugged along, albeit slowly. How can an economy keep growing with $4 gasoline, a housing melt down and a costly war on two fronts? While the U.S. economy has tremendous staying power, it is not devoid of potential pit falls. Let’s take a look at what got us here and forecast those sectors that will grow and those that will become obsolete in an economy that is labeled by many as “too big to fail”, but one that is certainly not “too big to radically change.”

New Frontiers that Change Everything
Economics, demographics and technology are all converging such that the next 10 years will be unlike any in human history. Five Trends are changing society and providing more opportunities than ever before. Life will never be same. For those willing to rise to the challenge of the Five Trends, the rewards will be boundless.

Tomorrow's Agriculture: Six Trends You Can't Afford to Miss
Agriculture will change more in the next decade than in the last century. Six major trends are creating more opportunities than ever before as consumers and producers are aligned in ways that generate agricultural markets in medicine, ecology, bio security, entertainment and lifestyles. These six trends change all of the rules and will make agriculture the nation's largest industry.

Everywhere Education
Education is changing so rapidly that in a decade, no one will recognize the new paradigm. On demand education integrates WiMax wireless technology with the Internet and Intranet such that the school house is gone, but not the school. Students learn faster from teachers that don't teach in classrooms that aren't rooms. And it's a world where education is the nation's fastest growing business.

Why Fears Fail and Actions Triumph
Ever wonder why some people or groups seem to succeed despite overwhelming odds while others fail with the best of opportunities? Fear paralyzes and stymies productivity while action invigorates. Come learn the latest research in controlling fear and creating the process for productive actions.

"Feedback from our group indicated that Dr Catlett was an excellent speaker unlike any other speaker that we have had at past conferences. He kept us entertained the whole time, as well as gave us gret information about the economy."

"Over the last fifteen years, Dr. Lowell Catlett has made four encore appearances at the International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association’s annual seminar and expo. Each time, he has received rave reviews and top rankings from attendees.  His ability to deliver timely and sometimes complex information in an easy-to-understand, engaging and humorous presentation is why we keep bringing him back.  It’s easy to get new speakers. It’s very difficult to get new speakers that can appeal to multiple business categories, multiple age ranges, and multiple interests. Dr. Catlett does it all seamlessly.  He connects the pieces and draws mental images for our attendees, no matter what the subject.  He was our highest-rated speaker again this year and you know that we’ll invite him back!"
Executive Director, International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association

"Just a quick note to thank you for working with us to have Lowell at our event on Monday. I know you are not surprised that we were very pleased! Lots of positive comments.....one hospital CEO told our COO that Lowell was the best speaker he has ever heard at any conference. Not only is he a terrific, entertaining, and relevant speaker--he was so easy to work with.... such a kind and down-to-earth person. It will be hard to find someone to match this next year."
